Drawn in the trap that has produced by far the best returns at this grade and trip, winning a quarter of the time from 224 runs. The formline is far less convincing though - fifth last time out and a couple of moderate efforts sandwiched around a big 73-rated performance three starts back. He's shown he can produce a big one but needs it to click on the night, and the draw at least gives him every chance if it does.

A genuine front runner with the pace to lead into the first bend, and her overall form figures are respectable, but she's drawn in the weakest box at this grade and trip by some distance - barely 16% of winners have come from trap 2. Fourth last time out over the sprint trip rather than this one, so there's a slight query over whether this run represents her true current form at 480 metres.

No graded racing form to assess here at all - there's simply nothing on file to judge this runner's ability against tonight's opposition. Impossible to make a case either way without seeing how she shapes up in competitive company, and stepping straight into A4 grade would be a stiff opening test if this is genuinely her first assessable run.

Third last time out but the standout figure here is his course and distance record - three wins from nine starts at this exact track and trip, comfortably the best in the field. He also owns the best first-bend figure of any runner, so he won't be far away when it matters most at the top of the back straight. A big player if the pace up front goes on too hard early.
