He won at A7 grade over the full trip three weeks ago so the ability is real, but he is drawn in the graveyard box — trap 2 wins just 6.7% at this grade — and sprinting is a specialist's game where a slow first stride is fatal to your chance. An experiment to watch, not to back.

Holds a strong box — trap 4 wins 28.6% at this grade — but the recent sprint form is thin: third and sixth in his two runs here this summer, with his better sprint efforts dating back over a year to 270 metres elsewhere. He matched his best time last time out, which hints at a spark, but he needs a career-best to trouble the front two on the clock.

Another middle-distance dog dropping to the dash for the first time, and his recent form gives little encouragement — sixth, fifth and sixth over 435 metres with ratings sliding steadily since early June. No sprint times to his name and a middling box. Hard to make any case beyond kennel confidence and the hope that a change of trip sparks something.
