The projected winner with a narrow edge built on consistency and trainer quality. Dark Eddie brings an All-Rounder profile (EP 50, CS 50) which gives him the tactical flexibility to sit behind the two Keefill Faders and pick them off without needing to close from last. His form of 49-47-44-48-45 is remarkably consistent — every run between 44 and 49, suggesting a dog who reliably races to his 47 average perf. Speed 51 and bend 50 are adequate, and suitability is solid (trap 43, track 41, distance 37, class 25). T6 at 23.39% from 248 runs is the strongest structural position in B3. The Watson trainer factor is key — 34% overall and 21.21% from 33 B3 runs. Watson consistently places dogs to win, and the fact that Dark Eddie keeps finishing 3rd from T3 (three consecutive 3rds) is partly a trap issue — now drawn T6, the best trap, the expectation is improvement. The margins over Trewmount Lady are thin, but Watson switching to the best trap suggests an intent run.
DANGER: Field-best on perf (49), speed (57), and suitability. Closer from the inside rail in a race with two Faders setting pace. If the race unfolds predictably, she has every right to win this.
Declining form from 38 to 23 — the lowest perf in the field by a wide margin. Fader from the weakest trap. Will set the pace alongside stablemate but has no chance of lasting.
Closer with genuine B3 peaks (53, 59) but the 22 horror show and erratic form make her unreliable. Placed twice recently which confirms competitiveness but cannot be trusted to win.
The better Keefill Fader at 40 perf but still below field standard. Will lead alongside stablemate through the first bend before weakening. Pace-setter role with a 23.01% T5 position is respectable but the CS 0 profile at 450m limits her.
Even trap distribution at B3. Two Keefill Faders from T3/T5 will set strong early pace — ideal setup for Closers from T1/T4 and the All-Rounder from T6. Watson at 21.21% from 33 B3 runs is the elite trainer.
