The best dog in the race by the numbers and it's not particularly close. Average performance 73 is the field's highest — 2 points clear of Trevorfoot and 6 ahead of the next runner. Speed rating 57 is also field-best. Form trajectory of 3-2-5-3-1 with performances of 78→71→68→69→88 is outstanding: the 88 is an exceptional peak, and the floor of 68 would still be competitive against everyone else here. Closer profile (EP52, CS55, PC94) is well-suited to Sunderland's character — she'll sit 3rd or 4th through the first bend with moderate pace, then close steadily through the later stages. Pace consistency of 94 is the best in the field — she runs the same race every time, which at A2 is crucial. Suitability is strong across every dimension: track 44, distance 42, trap 50, class 44. Drawn in T5, the statistically best trap at Sunderland A2 with 21.15% from 260 runs. Trainer Miller at 16% is below average, but at this level the dog's ability speaks for itself. Bend rating 56 is joint-second in the field, meaning she'll handle Sunderland's difficult turn adequately. The only question is whether Kelseys Zoom (EP91) builds such an enormous lead that even Moyvane Alice's class can't bridge the gap — but with CS55 closing and the Fader's CS0, the maths strongly favours the closer.
DANGER: Outstanding recent form (72→64→80→83→66), elite closing speed (CS80), and a strong-tier trainer in Bulmer (30%). The low EP means she concedes early ground but Sunderland rewards closers. The main threat to Moyvane Alice — could win this if the pace is strong enough to reel in.
Strong suitability profile and capable of big performances (76, 70) but the extreme inconsistency (PC32) and weak closing speed (CS26) make her unreliable at A2 level. Too much variance to trust.
Jackson's 44% trainer rate demands respect, and the improvement from 14→22→51 shows progress. But the class jump to A2 with speed 29 and limited experience is too much today. One to note for future A3 appearances.
Extreme Fader (CS0, EP91) who will lead by daylight early but faces overwhelming closing speed from Moyvane Alice and Trevorfoot. The 83 performance shows she CAN win when the class gap is big enough, but A2 closers won't let her escape. Place chance if the pace is moderate.
Capable of outstanding performances (85, 86) but the inconsistency and T6 draw make her a risky proposition against Moyvane Alice's metronomic consistency. Will be involved but unlikely to win.
1,487 runs. T5 is the best trap at 21.15% from 260 runs. T2 is weakest at 16.04%. Composite R1 wins 22.62% from 663 runs — ratings are more predictive at A2 than lower grades, as expected. The top-rated dog has a meaningful edge at this level. Speed R1 wins 21.53% from 655 runs — almost identical to composite.
