T1 at Harlow 415m is THE structural advantage — the rail saves ground through every bend and those savings compound over 4 turns. Comer Canal is a moderate Fader (EP55, CS39) rather than an extreme one — CS39 means he decelerates through closing stages but not catastrophically. From T1, the ground he saves on the rail partially offsets the fading tendency. P49 is competitive (1 point off the joint leaders) and form of 41→46→39→34→51 shows recent improvement to 51 — the highest single run in the field along with Steel Duke. The concern is the erratic nature of that form — 41→46→39→34 was a decline before the 51 bounce. But at A7 where the field quality is modest, P49 from T1 with a moderate Fader profile is a strong structural play. Carter at 14% is cold but the T1 advantage transcends the trainer signal.
DANGER: Best Closer (CS86) from inside draw with joint-best perf (P50). The declining form (65→36) is the risk — is he coming back or going further downhill? Still the most dangerous structural alternative to the T1 pick.
Good Closer on her day but too inconsistent (17→60→21 swings) and outclassed at P43. Worst trap at A7 seals it.
Most consistent form (49→50→49→50) but worst suit and no standout factor. Will run his race and finish close but not win.
Extreme Fader (CS12) at 415m is a recipe for progressive disappointment. Will show early and be caught. The 55 peak is ancient history.
DO NOT BE FOOLED by the pace numbers. EP79/Bend75 + best speed + best perf looks like a certainty, but CS0 at 415m = catastrophic fade through bends 2-4. He will lead and get caught. One to oppose.
T1 leads at 20.81% — the track profile confirms T1 dominates at 415m where rail savings compound through 4 bends. T6 second at 19.76%. D K Hurlock 25.61% and D F Carter 23.53% top the trainers.
