Dunstall Park has no established profile at 660 metres yet — the track only opened in September 2025 and the sample here is just 44 runs. Trap three has been the strongest box early on (three winners from eight, 37.5%), while traps four and five have blanked completely. Tellingly, neither the top-rated dog on paper nor the fastest dog on the clock has been much of a guide over this trip so far — both have managed only around 7% winners in this small sample, so trap position and proven stamina matter more here than raw ratings. This is also a genuine step up in trip for the whole field: nobody in this six has raced 660 metres round this circuit before, and several have never gone beyond 480 metres at all. The fast-early, fade-late sorts — Avarua Flight, Moyar Princess and Moyar Peg — will set a strong gallop early having never had to settle at this sort of distance, and the extra 180 metres could easily catch them out. The two with genuine stamina pedigree, Aero Espresso and Saleen Stunner, look the best equipped to see out the extra distance and could contest the finish between them.
Steps up from graded open company over 575 metres at Romford, where she's been racing consistently well — third, second, second and third in her last four starts there, always doing her finishing work from off the pace. That patient, closing style is exactly the type of running that tends to suit a genuine staying trip like this one, and unlike most of this field she's already shown she can get a longer distance. She carries the highest average performance rating in this race and drops into what looks like a weaker grade of company than she's used to at Romford. Drawn in trap three, which has been the strongest box in Dunstall's early 660-metre sample at 37.5% from eight runners. The sectional-based speed figure looks unflatteringly low here, most likely a quirk of thin data at this unusual trip rather than a true reflection of her ability — the raw times she's been clocking are perfectly competitive for the grade.
On pure figures she's the one to beat — fastest in the field on the clock and arriving on the back of a career-best performance, winning readily at A1 grade last time out. She also has a rare asset for this field: previous experience running 661 metres at Doncaster, finishing third having been outpaced early and running on late, which suggests she does have a touch of stamina that others in this maiden-stayers field haven't proven. The concern is her consistency — her figures swing wildly from race to race and her most recent winning time was well outside her personal best, hinting at a slowly-run race rather than raw pace. Trap six has managed only one winner from eight so far in this sample. If she brings her best form she wins this, but the volatility is a genuine worry.
Only four recorded starts to judge from, all over 480 metres at Monmore, with a solitary win among them and modest figures throughout. Drawn in trap five, which has produced just a single placed runner from nine attempts in this sample — the weakest draw in the race alongside trap four. Stepping into unknown stamina territory on very limited evidence, against rivals with considerably deeper form. Others hold far stronger claims tonight.
Drops in off a solid run of form at 480 metres around this same circuit, including a win last month, but this is new territory — she's never raced beyond that trip and her running style is fast-early-then-fade, which is precisely the profile that tends to get found out when the trip stretches out by 180 metres. Trap one has a reasonable record early in this sample at 28.6%. The fastest-early sort in this field on the sectional clock, but stamina is the question nobody can answer with certainty until she actually races it.
Plenty of good form at 480 metres including a couple of wins around this same track, but no experience past that trip and another fast-early, fade-late runner on paper — not an obvious fit for a genuine staying test. Trap two has drawn a complete blank from five runners in the early sample here, which doesn't help her cause either. Respected on ability but the trip and the draw are both working against her tonight.
Rock solid without quite winning of late — second in four of her last six starts, all over 480 metres around this circuit. Like her main market rivals she's never tackled a trip like this before, and her early pace, fade-late profile doesn't obviously translate to the extra distance. Trap four has blanked completely in the early Dunstall data at this trip. A modest each-way watch at best given the unknowns around the trip.
Key insight: Neither the top-rated dog nor the fastest dog on the clock has been a reliable guide over 660 metres here — both have managed roughly 7% winners in a small sample, while trap three has produced winners almost 40% of the time. Trap position and proven stamina matter more than raw ratings in this race.
Trap 3 strongest at 37.5% (8 runs), traps 4 and 5 both dead at 0% (7 and 9 runs), trap 1 solid at 28.6%, trap 6 weak at 12.5%
