The form horse in the race. Back-to-back wins at D5 level over this course and distance, posting performances of 30 and 28 which are modest in isolation but represent real consistency at the lower end of the grading spectrum. She now steps up to D4 which is a fair task, but her distance suitability of 58 is the best in the field and her track suitability of 33 is reasonable. Crucially, she is the only runner in this field who has been winning races — everyone else has been running fourth, fifth, or sixth in their recent outings. Trap 2 is the worst draw at Valley sprints (14.5%) which is a genuine negative, but in a field this weak her winning form and proven course and distance ability should carry her through. Her best time of 16.68 is modest but she is running to it consistently, which counts for more than raw speed in a D4 sprint.
Best dog on ratings but closer + layoff + worst trap = too many negatives.
Out of form and running below D4 standard — hard to fancy.
Debut winner from the best draw but too little form to trust fully.
Trip switch from longer distance — unproven at sprints and modest times.
Consistent non-contender — never threatening at D4 level.
Amiganwhitenose has best speed (63) and perf (47) but is Closer returning from 10-week layoff. Geneva Josie has two recent wins and best distance suitability (58). Saratoga is a debutant with one career run.
