Gossip Kid is a class apart in this field — quite simply the standout pick of the entire Yarmouth card. She's just won at A2 grade with an 87 performance, followed by a course and distance win at A3 with 82, and now drops right down to A9 where the opposition is operating in the 30s and 40s. The class gap is enormous — her average ability is roughly 20 points above the next best in the race, which historically translates to near-certainty at this grade. I J Barnard's runner is drawn in trap 6, which is structurally dominant in A9 at 26.2% from 61 runs, and her all-round pace profile means she can win from any position in running. Excellent track and distance suitability round off a compelling picture. It would be a major shock if she didn't win.
Consistent and well suited to the conditions — the best of the remainder behind the clear favourite.
Recent improvement is encouraging but drawn in the worst box and massively outclassed by the favourite.
The slowest dog in the race with a poor draw — difficult to see her troubling the judge.
Reasonable draw but form has been too inconsistent to make a case — not competitive in this.
Sits in the best structural box but lacks the ability to capitalise — place chance at best.
Outer traps dominate heavily in A9 at Yarmouth — T5 and T6 win at nearly double the expected rate. Inside draws T1 and T2 are structurally very poor. Sample sizes are moderate (50-73 runs) but the pattern is stark. Gossip Kid in T6 sits in the best structural position.
