Ballycowen Harry is a class act dropping to a grade well below his recent level. He won at A1 last time with a stunning 90 performance, and before that he placed second and third at the top grade — form that makes him several lengths clear of every other dog in this race. His closing style is tailor-made for Yarmouth's long home straight, where he can sit off the pace and pick off the field when he pleases. The trap 6 draw is structurally weak at just 15.7% in A6 from 293 runs, and that's the only note of caution — but when a dog is 25 points above the field average on ability, structural disadvantages become secondary. His track suitability at 53 is decent and the closing speed ratio is exceptional. The class gap should prove decisive.
Recent winner with sharp early pace — dangerous if she can build a lead, but the draw and fading style are concerns.
Improving and well drawn but faces a class mountain she can't climb — place chance at best.
Poor recent form and a gap since her last run — difficult to see her troubling the top runners.
Drawn in the dominant trap with proven form at this level — inconsistent but structurally dangerous.
Honest and well suited but outclassed by the favourite — minor place contender.
LOW SEPARATION race — composite rank 1 at 22.0% vs rank 3 at 20.7% is just 1.3pp. In most A6 races this would mean trap bias dominates. But Ballycowen Harry is NOT a normal A6 runner — he's been competing at A1. The class override applies: avgPerf 75 vs field average ~50 is a 25-point gap that overwhelms the structural headwind of T6's 15.7%. The dead T6 draw is a concern but the class gap makes it secondary.
