The structural and form case aligns more cleanly on Mohican Heidi than on almost any other runner today. T1 wins 24.32% in D2 270m at Dunstall Park — the meeting's dominant trap advantage — and Mohican Heidi has already delivered in exactly that scenario, winning from T1 at D2 Dunstall in 16.15 seconds. That is an excellent time for this grade. The wider form picture adds further confidence: a recent A5 win at Swindon shows this dog can perform across formats and tracks. Trainer D T Smith has multiple runners at this meeting and represents well at Dunstall. Speed rank 1 winning 19.74% validates the expectation that the quickest away from T1 should control the early stages. The only note of caution is the modest sample size for D2 270m at Dunstall (288 runs), but the direction of the evidence is clear.
D2 winner at Dunstall with a fast time. Structural disadvantage from T5 is the difference between pick and danger here.
Intriguing class dropper from D1 with a quick D3 time. Worst trap in the race is the structural problem. An interesting runner to note for future races.
Two recent D3 wins, but T3 is a weak trap and D2 is a meaningful step up. Needs to prove it can match D2 times.
D3 winner that has not transferred that form to D2. T2 trap is workable but form evidence is insufficient.
Second-best trap position and consistent D2 form. No win in three attempts suggests a ceiling below the pick level. Could place in-the-money again.
T1 wins 24.32% in D2 270m at Dunstall — the most dominant trap position on today's card. T4 is the worst at 9.43%. Speed rank 1 wins 19.74%. The T1 advantage in short sprint closes is substantial and Mohican Heidi has already won from this box at this grade.
