Grouchos Gift is the standout pick on the entire Kinsley card alongside the Race 8 selection. She has a massive ability advantage over this field — nearly nine points clear of the next best — and draws the dominant trap 3 which wins 24% of all D4 sprints at Kinsley from 258 runs. She's been racing at A7 462m level recently, which puts her in a different league to these D4 sprint rivals. She has decent early pace with good bend speed, and her course and distance suitability is strong across the board. The W M Lyons yard at 30% completes a compelling picture. Her recent form at A7 has been mixed — two fifths after trouble — but that was against significantly better opposition. At D4 sprint level, the class gap should be decisive.
Dominant trap, class drop, and a strong closer — the clear danger from the inside draw, especially if the pace is hot.
Four consecutive fifths tell the story — she's not competitive at this level and there's nothing to suggest improvement.
Struggling at this level with no sign of improvement — very hard to make a case for involvement.
A8 winner but in the worst possible draw for a D4 sprint — the numbers argue strongly against despite the recent form.
Dominant trap draw but insufficient ability to trouble the pick — a place contender at best.
Three dominant traps (T1, T3, T6) and one dead trap (T5 at 10.5%). T3 is the clear best at 24.0% from 258 runs. Low composite separation (R1 17.9% vs R3 17.5%) BUT the pick has a 9-point ability gap which is well beyond low-separation noise. Sprint where the dominant trap and class alignment should be decisive.
T1:20.8% T2:17.5% T3:24.0% T4:17.3% T5:10.5% T6:20.5%
