Bubbly Athena is the outstanding runner on this card's finale — her figures are head and shoulders above this field with the highest average performance by a clear margin. She's a confirmed closer with devastating late speed, and crucially she draws the rail for this staying trip. At 575 metres on Romford's tight circuit, the rail advantage compounds through every bend — the dog on the inside saves ground every time the field turns, and with more bends than the standard trip, that cumulative advantage is enormous. She has two course and distance wins from six starts, excellent track suitability and outstanding trap suitability for the rail. Paul Young's kennel at 14% is the only negative, but the quality gap is so large it shouldn't matter. The pace should be set by the faders who'll weaken late, playing perfectly into her closing strength.
Second-best in the field with a closing profile that loves staying trips — the clear danger and would win most S2 races without the pick in it.
Will lead early but the fading profile at 575 metres is a severe concern — likely pace-setter for the closers rather than a winner.
Poor figures, no course and distance form, and outclassed on ability — very hard to see him troubling the principals.
Interesting speed figures but zero distance suitability and a fading profile at a staying trip — too many unknowns to support.
Very small sample of 208 runs at S2 575m makes the trap breakdown unreliable. The track profile strongly favours trap 1 at staying trips due to cumulative rail savings through multiple bends. The composite separation is inverted (R3 beats R1) confirming this is a chaotic grade-distance combo. Class and rail advantage should be weighted above the noisy trap stats.
