Deelish Jerry has the best all-round profile in this sprint with strong track and distance credentials and a decent closing kick. He's drawn on the rail which is one of the two dominant boxes for D4 sprints here, winning over 20% of races. His performance figure leads the field, and while his closing style isn't ideal for a sprint, his course knowledge and the structural advantage of trap 1 combine to give him the edge. Peter Cowdrill's 18% strike rate is solid for this grade.
Strong finishing kick and good trainer but the sprint trip and lack of distance form are genuine concerns.
Insufficient data and low performance figure make her hard to support — needs to improve significantly.
Exceptional course credentials but drawn in the dead trap with no current form — a taking risk only.
Outclassed and poorly suited — would need a significant step forward to feature.
Favoured by the draw and has early speed for a sprint but modest ability and poor individual suitability limit his chances.
Outside traps dominate Monmore 264m sprints — T6 and T1 are the only two above expected. T3 is structurally dead at 13.71% from a large 372-run sample. Composite rank 1 wins 23.46% vs rank 2 at just 14.18% — unusual inversion suggesting the best-rated dog does well but mid-ranked dogs struggle.
