The only genuine Front Runner in the field, and at Romford over 400 metres that's an enormous advantage. His early pace of 59 means he should lead through the first bend, and unlike the Faders in the race, his pace profile suggests he can sustain that advantage through all four bends. Placed second in both A7 and A6 recently and won at A7 in February, confirming he's competitive across this grade range. Drawn in the dominant trap 3 which further strengthens the case — a Front Runner from a structurally favourable inside draw on a tight track is exactly the profile the data rewards. His suitability is the best in the race across track, distance, and trap.
Closer in the dominant rail draw with competitive recent form. The structural advantage of trap 1 gives her a genuine each-way chance.
Drawn in the strongest box but recent form has deteriorated sharply. Needs to show the early-year level to compete — a watching brief.
Dropping in class with decent suitability but drawn outside the dominant inside block. Competitive but faces a structural headwind from trap 4.
Extreme Fader in the dead trap with awful suitability and poor last run. The structural and stylistic picture is comprehensively negative.
Strong bend ability but the lowest suitability in the field and a below-par draw. Recent placed efforts are encouraging but the data doesn't support a pick.
Extreme inside bias at A7 — T1, T2, T3 all dominant while T5 is dead. Low separation in composite rank (R1 18.3% vs R3 17.61%). Inside-drawn dogs should be heavily preferred. The outside traps face a significant structural headwind.
