The most talented dog in this field by a significant margin — but returning from an eleven-month layoff that makes every number a question mark. Her previous form was all at A5 level at Swindon over 476 metres, where she hit a peak of 72 and was placed at A5 last July. The speed figure of 100 is the maximum rating and her average performance of 58 is nineteen points clear of the next best dog. Two recent trials over 500 metres here — winning both, including a 30.85 ten days ago — suggest the preparation has been thorough and the trainer believes she is ready. The question is whether trial fitness translates to race fitness against real opposition over a trip she has never contested in a competitive race before. Speed and composite both agree on her, which is the strongest signal at Towcester 500m. The class gap between A5 and A8 is enormous — even at eighty per cent of her best, she would be the classiest dog in this race by a wide margin. A speculative proposition given the layoff, but the raw ability is undeniable.
Most proven at this level but the worst trap at A8 is a massive structural handicap.
Decent draw but form too modest to threaten the class dogs.
Honest A8 regular — too limited to trouble the classier dogs.
Poor draw and disappointing last effort — hard to fancy.
Best trap but weakest dog — the draw can't bridge a class gap this wide.
T6 dominant at A8 (28.9%). T1 catastrophic (9.8%). Speed+composite agree on T2 Pulleen Blackie but 11-month layoff is a major risk factor.
T1:9.8%(51) T2:13.2%(53) T3:21.4%(56) T4:16.7%(54) T5:13.6%(59) T6:28.9%(52)
