That's not a hot streak riding on a handful of results, it's a sample size big enough to mean something.
What tends to separate a trainer running at this level from one who's simply had a good few weeks is consistency of output, and that's the pattern here. Gaskin isn't leaning on one or two stable stars to carry the numbers; the volume of runners, well over 250 in three months, points to a yard that's regularly sending fit, competitive dogs to the track rather than picking soft spots. A place rate on top of the win rate like this usually means the dogs that don't win are still finishing in the frame rather than trailing in.
There's a strong hand out at Doncaster today, six runners across the card. Trewmount Fury goes in the 14:26 B2 over 450m from trap 2, Cricket Bank runs the 15:41 D4 sprint over 275m from trap 1, and On The Wall steps up into the 16:37 A1 over 483m from trap 5. Keefill Storm (16:56, B4, trap 1) and Keefill Apollo (17:14, B2, trap 2) both run over the 450m trip, while Redbrick Gerrard rounds out the card in the 17:29 B3 from trap 4.
With this volume of runners from a yard performing at north of 30% for the win alone, every one of those six is worth a second look before the card gets underway.
