Later on, Birtley Hoopstar (trap 2) contests the 21:18 sprint over 245m, and Deelish Crofty (trap 6) rounds things off in the 21:31 open race at 435m.
Four runners at a single track suggests Tighe knows this venue inside out. The concentration of entries at Star Pelaw rather than spreading them across multiple meetings is worth noting. Trainers operating at this level of efficiency tend to target specific tracks where their dogs suit the configuration, and when you're winning four out of every ten runners, the preparation is clearly working.
At these numbers, any Tighe runner deserves respect regardless of the form book. When a kennel is running at this kind of rate, even the less fancied entries can surprise.
