Purmac Welder has made the biggest leap, jumping from a composite of 20 to 50 in recent weeks. He runs in the A5 at Tralee over 525 metres at 12:21 from trap 5. A 30-point improvement suggests something fundamental has clicked, whether that's settling into a new distance, finding a preferred track, or simply maturing. At A5 grade, a composite of 50 puts him competitive rather than dominant, but the direction of travel is encouraging.
Canny Striker is close behind with a 26-point rise from 25 to 51. He contests the A6 at Newcastle over 480 metres at 1:08 from trap 2. That's a helpful draw at Newcastle, where trap 2 currently wins at 22.8%, the joint-best on the track. A form surge plus a strong draw is exactly the kind of combination worth paying attention to.
Acomb Mo has climbed from 37 to 55, a jump of 18 points. He's one of K J Ferguson's four runners at Sheffield today, going in the A5 at 12:42 from trap 6. Given Ferguson's 34.1% strike rate over the last three months, a dog from that kennel showing improving form deserves a closer look.
Statsman (up 21 points to 38) runs at Star Pelaw tonight, while Moulton Lily (up 16 points to 36) goes at Sunderland. Both are lower-rated dogs on the move rather than proven performers, but they're worth adding to your kennel tracker to see if the improvement continues.
