Our model scores shift as new form comes in, and sometimes a dog makes a jump that demands attention. Today five runners have improved their scores significantly, and all of them are racing this afternoon or evening.
The biggest mover is Jims Buddy, whose score has leapt from zero to 41. That is a huge jump and suggests recent runs have completely changed the picture for this dog. He lines up at Towcester in the 16:09 OR1 over 500m from trap four. Going from unrated to a score of 41 means the model has found real evidence of ability in his latest outings, and at a price he could be worth a look.
Underground Matt has jumped 35 points, moving from 25 to 60. That puts him firmly in contention for the 15:32 at Towcester, another OR1 over 500m, where he runs from trap three. A score of 60 is competitive in most company and this dog is clearly heading in the right direction.
Westforth Calvin has climbed 27 points to reach 37, and he goes at Sunderland in the 13:26 A3 over 450m from trap two. Polar Express has made an identical 27-point gain, up from 12 to 39, and runs at Kinsley in the 18:59 D3 over 268m from trap two. Both are dogs whose recent form has given the model fresh reasons to take them seriously.
Finally, Goldcash Warrior moves from 46 to 69, a 23-point improvement that puts him right in the mix for Sheffield's 16:03 OR1 over 500m from trap one. The inside draw is a bonus and a score of 69 in Open company marks him out as a genuine player.
Improving dogs are always interesting because the market often has not caught up with the form. By the time everyone notices, the price has gone. These five are worth watching today.
